01This website

breaker.studio is a static site. It runs no analytics or tracking scripts, and there is no payment on it. Browsing it is not recorded by us.

Two pages are different: /start, where you land after checkout, and /account, where customers sign in. They talk only to our own server, api.breaker.studio. There is no password: you sign in with your email and a 6-digit code we send to it. Once you are in, api.breaker.studio sets one cookie so you stay signed in, for up to 30 days or until you sign out. It is needed for signing in and does nothing else. It holds a random code and nothing about you, it only ever goes back to api.breaker.studio, and it is never used to track you. Nothing else is stored in your browser.

What you type on those pages comes to us: your email, your Whatnot shop name, any names you give your computers, and on the Standard plan your colors, notes and logo. Clause 04 says what we do with it.

Our host keeps standard server logs — the ordinary record of requests every web host keeps, including IP addresses. We do not build profiles from them.

02Who else is involved

We are a small business and we use ordinary tools. These are all of them, and what each one sees:

Vercel hosts the site and keeps the server logs above. Stripe runs checkout, invoices and billing — they see your payment details, we never do. Google Workspace carries our email, so anything you write to us sits in a Google mailbox. Discord runs our server and everything you post there is on Discord's systems under Discord's rules.

Each of those has its own privacy policy, and once you are inside one of their products you are covered by theirs, not this one.

Cloudflare runs our license and update service, so it sees the check-ins your board makes and the IP address they come from. It also stores your account (your email, your plan, and what you told us about your show), any artwork you upload, previews of your board and any changes you ask for, and your finished board, so you can download it from your account or the link in your delivery email.

Resend sends our sign-in codes and account emails, so it sees your email address and what those emails say.

03Our team alerts

When you buy, send your details or answer a preview, a short note goes to a private channel on our team's Discord so one of us picks it up. It names your Whatnot shop, your plan and which of us is handling your order. Your email, your license key and your payment details never go there.

The booking also lands in our calendar, so the fact of the meeting and your email sit there too.

04If you buy a board

Payment goes through Stripe, which handles your card directly — we never see your card number. What we see is who paid, for what, and when, and the email you paid with. That email becomes your account: it is how you sign in, and where we send your board.

After checkout we ask about your show. On every plan that means your Whatnot shop name. On the Standard plan we also ask for your logo, your brand colors and anything you'd like us to know about your channel or brand. If you don't have a logo, you can tick a box and we start from your Whatnot page. You can send all this on your account page or by email, and change it later. We use it to build your board and nothing else.

Your logo, your colors and any images you send stay yours. We use them to build your board and to show that board in our portfolio unless you have told us not to.

05If you email us

We keep the correspondence, the way anyone keeps their email. If it turns into a project, that thread is also the record of what we agreed.

06If you join the Discord

You need a Discord account, which is between you and Discord. Your username, anything you post and anything you send us there live on Discord's systems. We can see what any other member of the server can see.

Joining is free and does not put you on any list of ours.

07What we don't do

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone outside the tools listed in clause 02. We do not run ads, we do not use tracking pixels, and we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.

We have no interest in your data beyond building your board and talking to you about it.

08How long we keep it

Email we keep while there is a reason to — an active conversation, a project, or a customer we might hear from again.

Invoices we keep for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is not our choice. Artwork you sent us we keep so we can rebuild or repair your board later; ask and we will delete it.

Your account (your email, your plan, and what you told us about your show) we keep while you are a customer, and delete when you ask, like everything else here. Sign-in codes stop working after 10 minutes, and we only ever store a scrambled form of them.

License check-in records we keep for 12 months, then delete. Subscription and consent records we keep for as long as the law requires us to — three years, or a year after you stop, whichever is longer.

09Your board, and what it sends us

This section changed on 22 September 2026, and it is the reason the date at the top moved. Boards now include a Control Panel that runs on a subscription, and a board checks in with us to confirm that subscription is live and to collect updates.

What it sends, when it is online: your license key, your board’s ID (the name your copy of the board was built under), a device identifier we generate for each computer you install on (and, when one computer’s identifier changes, the one it replaced), the version you are running, and your IP address, which every internet request carries. We record the time of these check-ins so we can help when you report a problem, and so each license runs only on the computers it covers.

What it never sends: your images, your card photos, your buyers, your sales, your prices, your break results, your board’s contents or anything you type into the panel. None of that is transmitted anywhere. It is stored on your own computer and we have no technical means of reading it.

The device identifier is random and generated by us. It is not your hardware serial number and it tells us nothing about your computer.

When you are offline the board works normally and sends us nothing at all.

If your board includes the score ticker, it also fetches scores from our server while it is running. That request carries no license key and nothing about you.

10Asking us to delete something

Write to mike@breaker.studio and say what you want removed or what you want a copy of. We will do it, and we will tell you if something has to stay — an invoice we are required to keep, for instance.

We do this because it is right, not because a statute makes us. You do not need to cite a law and we will not ask you to.

11Children

This is a business service for people running a selling operation. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If you think we have, tell us and we will delete it.

12Changes

If we add a tool that changes any of the above, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. We are not going to quietly start collecting something and leave this page saying otherwise.
